For over a decade, Mr. Van Zant has been a member of the Board of Directors of VRG, Inc., an Atlanta-based human resources services & consulting firm, where he now serves as President. VRG is one of the premier Affirmative Action, HR Compliance, and Candidate Sourcing firms in the southeast.  VRG provides AAP & HR services to clients across the nation.     

He has been actively involved in the management of VRG for the past 5 years, and he is one of the first to obtain Certified Affirmative Action Professional (CAAP) status from the American Association of Affirmative Action.

He has personally developed over 1000 technically compliant written AAP's for VRG clients, has extensive hands-on experience with OFCCP desk & on-site reviews and audits, and is recognized as an industry expert in the area of functional affirmative action plans.

Prior to joining VRG, Mr. Van Zant led two major U.S. based consulting practices in the IT infrastructure arena.  He was the Managing Principal for Unisys’ Network & Desktop Consulting Practice for North America, and most recently he served as Senior Vice President and head of ENTEX Information Services consulting line of business (now Siemens Business Services).  Mr. Van Zant was also one of the early pioneers of network outsourcing, acting as the lead on several landmark outsourcing engagements in the banking industry in the 1980’s.

Overall, his career has spanned nearly thirty years in the technology, consulting, and EEO/Affirmative Action  fields, including experience with IBM, British Telecom, and a 17 year career with AT&T.  He is a member of the American Association of Affirmative Action, a former executive member of WICT, a national association for the advancement of women in the cable and telecommunications industries, and a graduate of Miami University. He was also named as the 2002 Honorary Chairman for the State of Georgia on the President's Business Advisory Council.
